These modules will be facilitated by Deirdre Way and Terry Lockett
through the 2011 - 2012 school year.
We look forward to working with you and joining in your discussions around the topics presented in the online learning modules designed by BC Council of Administrators for Special Education.
The Learning Series modules offer an alternative professional development option for new support teachers (or educators interested in support), different from the Cornerstone Workshops. These self-directed “lessons” will be completed with a small cohort and within a given 3-6 week time-frame. As with the Cornerstone Workshops, the Online Learning Modules do not replace post-secondary coursework in Special Education. Instead, they offer on-the-job support to guide the development of key knowledge, skills and attitudes aimed at enhancing the confidence and competence of new support/general education teachers in meeting the requirements of their school assignments. There are 7 modules in total.
